WELCOME TO NEW ZEALAND SPORT FISHING

Mission Statement: More Fishing, More Fun, More Fish, More Challenge.......... More You.

Vision Statement: To be the leading Sports Fishing organisation promoting and providing education,
participation and pathways to sustainable marine fishing for all Kiwis.

New Zealand Sport Fishing (NZSF) is a not for profit organisation recognised by Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ) - formerly known as SPARC (Sport & Recreation New Zealand) as a National Sports Organisation (NSO) representing the sport of marine angling. The organisation was originally founded in 1957 and incorporated on 3 March 1959. It was then named the New Zealand Big Game Fishing Council. Its purpose and its reason for being established has altered and expanded since then with its 59 member clubs now promoting all forms of marine fishing, not just big game. Clubs hold many  hundreds of tournaments throughout New Zealand every year, working in their local communities to grow participation in marine fishing and encouraging youth participation. Many tournaments benefit local and National Charities.
