The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show
Update May 13th -16th should be in everyone’s diary for a visit to the NZSF stand at this year’s Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.
2 children get in for free with every paying adult. Have a family day out!
The New Zealand Sport Fishing stand in the Fishing Hall features Hiwi The Kiwi shows three times a day at the weekend and twice a day on Thursday and Fridays.
We have the deCoro Fish fighting machine with several scheduled appearances of Auckland Blues players and possibly (work in progress) The Warriors.
Thursday afternoon at 4pm sees 4 Auckland Mayors competing on the machine for fun. There are several free to enter competitions with two charters up for winning; One day fishing on The Gambler out of Whakatane and a 1½ day/overnight on Triple Vision out of Whitianga. Entry is free to both. There are giveaways and loads of prizes for the several competitions being run on the NZSF stand.
We’ll also have Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club there with Landbased Game Fishing Club members promoting their activities and membership. NZSF will have Management Committee and affiliates helping out and their own area promoting the Council.
Brian Moore is the artist in residence and Stacey Jones and Awen Guttenbeil have promised to come along for a bit of a fish machine challenge and also do a bit of filming for Hyundai Code on Maori TV.
