The NZSFC team and other group representatives meet with the MPI policy team to clarify what feedback will be useful and what aspects are not being reviewed during this process. It was a worthwhile meeting, with free and frank discussion. MPI encourage comments on a range of topics that are of concern to recreational fishing interests. NZSFC note that restoring abundance is the key to resolving many local and national issues. The outcomes from this meeting helped shape the joint recreational submission made to MPI in December.
